I am a marine mammal scientist and current Ph.D. candidate from the University of Bristol, UK, supervised by Dr. Stephanie King. My current research examines the role of vocal signals in facilitating cooperative acts in male Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin alliances as a part of Shark Bay Dolphin Research in Shark Bay, Western Australia.
In 2018, I graduated with a B.A. in Zoology from the University of Vermont, USA. It was my time at UVM, completing an Honors thesis on humpback whale song supervised by Dr. Laura May-Collado, that first sparked my interest in cetaceans. I then spent two years working on a variety of cetacean projects before I began my Master's studies with Shark Bay Dolphin Research in the fall of 2020.
MY GOAL Conduct novel, valuable research to better protect cetaceans and their marine environment and to effectively engage the public in ocean conservation. |
